I have been volunteering for the HUDA clinic since I was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and through medical school at Wayne State University. In fact during my third year of medical school, I realized that my medical knowledge had transitioned into more of a practical and clinical understanding.

After volunteering at HUDA Clinic for 2 years, I really became knowledgeable of the clinical process. It has helped me to gain patient-speaking skills, become versed in patient charts/history as well as a few initial medical examinations, and gain a working knowledge of diseases and effects of certain drugs. I am sure that my experience here and the steps to forming a diagnosis will help me through my medical career when problem-solving with other professionals, and associating with patients.
